The principles we maintain:
- We cannot be on the leading edge all the time. Technology changes too fast and it may be going in the wrong direction.
- Computers and computer technology can do almost any thing. We may not really want it to, or it really may not be worth it.
- Many times we can do it better and faster without the aid of a computer. If we only do something once or a few times, do it without a computer. Computers are best in handling repetitive tasks or in processing large amounts of data.
- Beware of the gap between what is promised that a computer can do and the reality of what can be done by ordinary folks on a routine basis.
